What a month March has been for me.  Nothing like warm weather and sun to get the decorating juices flowing.  We were open 3 Saturdays and had a great turn out.  Sold three sofas, oodles of chairs and a coffee table or three.  The early warm weather has allowed to me get a lot done at the warehouse--its really looking good. The front showroom is the best its ever looked and I think I have some of the best inventory I've had in a while.  It won't last though.  We will take this Saturday off and do some hunting.  Don't forget to visit our friends down at Antiques in Manchester.  They kick off their season Saturday the 31st at 9am across the street from PlantZero on Hull Street.  I have not totally ruled out setting up down there, so who knows.  Thanks again to all who support us.  Sign up for email or follow me on Facebook.

Back and ready to roll!

I know, I know, I am so lame.  I have been totally out of touch for over a month.  For those that don't know, December and January are huge months for me in terms of the time I spend decorating the shops for Christmas, taking it all down in January, then going to market and then on vacation.  I am finally back on the ground and ready to roll.

On Friday, (weather permitting) we will have a tremendous amount of inventory out on the lawn that will be picked up at 2:00pm for auction.  If you would like to rummage through this inventory and make an offer before it leaves, please stop in between noon and 2pm on Friday.  There will be nothing over $50 most likely.  King Estate Sales (the warehouse next door) will also be participating in this sale as well and will have loads of items reduced for quick sale or otherwise headed to auction.
We will be open on Saturday from 10am to 4pm.  New inventory includes end tables, etegeres, dining chairs, credenzas, bar carts and sofas.   I will try to post some pics this evening.
And finally, I have completely flipped the inventory at the Shops@5807.  Lots of great new ribbon for  Mardi Gras, Spring and Easter.

Holiday Happenings and of course, New Stuff!

Happy Holidays, friends.  I really love this time of year.  For me, it just doesn't last long enough.  I know, I am a freak. In between wreaths, I have found some time to locate a few new items.  These are literally at the warehouse backdoor and ready for a new home.  I would be remiss if I didn't throw in a few pics of some of my favorite wreaths this year.  And finally, I will be at the warehouse on Saturday from 10-1.  If its after 1pm, call ahead just in case I have headed off to do some of my own Christmas shopping.  Many thanks to all who support small business--especially mine.

Thank yous and Special Treat this Weekend!

Many, many thank yous to the folks that shopped small businesses last weekend, especially mine!  I had a record day!

We have a special treat this weekend--a guest estate sale will be going on next door to VERVE at 4905 W. Leigh.  Robin Campbell will be selling beautiful designer goods.  Here are some preview pics for VERVE and the estate sale.  More details can be found at http://www.estatesales.net/ , a great resource for estate sale info.  They will post her sale on Thursday.  I will be open officially on Saturday from 10-4, but will be hanging around on Friday and Sunday, so stop in any day.
Don't forget, if you want a wreath you can:
1.  Buy one already made at the Shops@5807 OR
2.  Order a custom wreath by calling me at 804-370-3765 OR
3.  Bring me an old wreath that still has some life (or not) and let me work my magic.  Often I can refresh old wreaths with new ribbon, etc. OR (and the most fun)

4.  Bring a bag of the stuff you've collected intending to make your own wreath but never got around to it.  Saves you money and me time!

Small Business Saturday - Be a Yocal and shop Local!

I am sure your are tired of hearing about it and hopefully you got your fill of big mall shopping today.  So head off to a small business tomorrow--namely VERVE home furnishings!  We have OMFG--"outrageous modern furniture galore".  We are open Saturday, November 26th from 10-6 and next Saturday, December 3 from 10 to 6.  Come and get your verve on.  4903 W. Leigh Street Richmond VA 23230.  804.370.3765.  Follow me here or on Facebook.

Birthdays, engagements and OMFG!

Okay, so last week was my birthday (you may have heard), but that wasn't the big news.  Stephanie and Jay got engaged in my warehouse! Really!  It was so sweet.  They were crying, I was crying.  It was great.  She is from NY and had been wanting to get into the warehouse and of course, loves mid-century furnishings.  He was looking for a unique way to propose and there we were.  Probably one of the coolest birthdays I have had in a while.  Anyway, here are the pics.  He actually made up the plaque and had me hide it on the wall for her to find amongst the Outrageous Modern Furniture Galore (OMFG)! We are now on the list of most popular sites to see in Richmond.  Really.  Now if I can just sell enough stuff to host a wedding!

New inventory, Holiday Preview and Pop-Up Parties!

West Elm's pop-up party chair that they don't sell, but I do!

Set of 6 Milo Baughman for Thayer-Coggin dining chairs

Set of 6 Chromecraft dining chairs and 8ft poinsettia garlands

Miller & Rhoads Santa?

Groovy ironing board is now a bar!
Some very cool dining chairs have arrived!  6 Milo Baughman for Thayer-Coggin and 6 avocado green velvet high-back chairs from Chromecraft.  Don't need sets?  How about a eclectic mix of chairs for a "pop-up" party that you know you going to have this season.  I have some of the best mix of great little chairs that can be used as-is or with a little work.  Did you see the cute little iron chair in the West Elm catalogue this month? They don't even have it for sale, but have it included in a photo shoot to help sell their other chairs!  I have four of these chairs, and you can paint them any color you want.  Also, for that "pop-up" party, how about a super chrome ironing board as your new space saving bar!  This is the coolest thing I have in the warehouse right now.  Additionally, here are a few photos of holiday wreaths and decorations that are hitting the floor at the Shops@5807.  I will be working around the warehouse all weekend, so stop in if you see my truck outside or call ahead to be sure I am there.  804.370.3765.
